Ramon Del Barrio – Jazz

Ramon has had a major presence across the U.S. for more than 25 years. Audiences most recently saw Del Barrio creating the role of Damon Runyon in last year’s Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, and Billy Dixon in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys. His other New York credits include Harold Prince’s, Roza on Broadway, Carousel at the Lincoln Center, and Genesis and Temptation at the New York Shakespeare Festival. His national tours include, Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life, and the 30th anniversary tour of West Side Story, in which he played Chino. His film and television appearances include, The Wedding Planner, The Mambo Kings, Sister Act 2, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Footloose, Solid Gold Hits, and the Academy, Grammy, and American Music Awards shows.

Ramon Del Barrio performs in Broadway Show Stoppers (Hawaii)

Del Barrio did the musical staging and choreography for the 2006 Academy Award-winning film in the Best Live Action Short Film category, West Bank Story. He was the principal choreographer and co-director for the musical Sisterella, written and directed by Larry Hart, and the only musical Executive Produced and presented by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.  Sisterella won eight NAACP Theater Awards, including Best Musical, Best Director and Best Musical Staging and Choreography. Among the many high-profile events and programs to his credit, Ramon directed the tenth anniversary of The American Choreography Awards , and he was the live-show director/choreographer for the first reality show on Prime Time network television, ABC’s reality series, Making the Band.
